PROJECT halyna

Wind turbine with three generators

Introducing HALYNA

HALYNA is a prototype of a modern wind turbine. It addresses one of the biggest challenges in distributed energy – the low efficiency of home turbines under variable wind conditions.

By using three independent generators with different operating characteristics, HALYNA can adapt to a wide range of wind speeds. Its goal is to provide stable electricity production for individual users in an economical, efficient, and environmentally friendly way.

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS

Three generators – greater efficiency

HALYNA is equipped with three generators featuring different starting torques and rated speeds, allowing it to produce energy regardless of whether the wind is weak, moderate, or strong. This solution extends the turbine’s operational time throughout the year, significantly increasing its efficiency compared to conventional single-generator models.

Lightweight and durable blades

The turbine blades are made of carbon fiber – an extremely strong and ultra-light material. As a result, each blade weighs only 290 g, and their geometry has been aerodynamically optimized using numerical simulations, ensuring maximum efficiency in converting the wind’s kinetic energy into electricity.

Carbon fiber diffuser

To make better use of natural resources, HALYNA is equipped with a diffuser. It surrounds the turbine blade area, forming a narrowing that utilizes the Venturi effect to maximize airflow. The entire diffuser structure was built by the team from carbon fiber as six detachable segments.

HALYNA is the result of hundreds of hours:

engineering design

numerical analyses

manual fabrication of individual components

laboratory and field tests

The Eko-Energia team independently built the blades, body, mechanical system, and switching mechanism. We are proud of the quality of workmanship and the dedication visible in every detail of the prototype.

WITH THE USER IN MIND

The HALYNA project was designed for use in households as part of a residential renewable energy installation. Our turbine can be integrated with an energy storage system, allowing for:

  • Real reduction of electricity costs

  • Increased energy independence for users

  • Reduction of the carbon footprint and environmental impact
